72 Hour Urban Action: Kuku!

The corner of Nordbahnhofstraβe and Eckartstraβe in Stuttgart is the local centrepoint. This is the Axis Mundi or the world axis of the neighbourhood – each and every one of the locals walks this path to the supermarket. Countless fortunate and less fortunate meetings happen here every day – this is the spot of serendipity and conflict. Both are the essential part of urban life and the installation does not choose one over the other but jumps in the middle of whatever is going on with a surprise KUKU!

The person on the swing can make the world’s shortest stage appearance by swinging through the curtain into the street space and the urban scene.
