The Snail – an experimental treehouse for children

The experimental treehouse was designed for a young boy as an outdoor playhouse. The volume is inspired by the structure of a snail house. Its wooden construction is warped around the treetrunks on the site and hanging above without touching the ground. The inside space has narrow stairs to crawl in and an open room to play with friends, there is an elevated floor for sleeping and also an outside bridge and terrace for concuering the fort.
